LEADERSHIP & INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Great leadership isn't a title, it's a set of skills anyone can build. These trainings cover the full range of what it takes to lead people well: becoming an effective leader, building stronger teams, and managing the different personalities on them. You'll find hands-on training in setting goals and managing performance, recognizing and rewarding employees, and engaging and retaining your team long-term. We also dig into the harder conversations of working with difficult people, conflict resolution, establishing accountability, and leading with empathy, all with an eye toward fostering a positive, resilient culture people actually want to work in.
Becoming an Effective Leader

It's easy to spot a good leader from the outside — we can describe how they act, what they say, how people respond to them. It's even easier to spot a bad leader (we've all had one of those). What's much harder is turning that outside view into something we can actually do ourselves. Most of us know what good leadership looks like; few of us have a clear, practical plan for becoming that leader. This workshop gives you that plan. We'll dig into the leadership imperatives — the things leaders must do, no matter their role or industry — and how to cultivate authentic trust both up and down the organization. We'll also explore the balancing acts every leader faces: ownership versus delegation, oversight versus micromanagement, coaching versus dictating. This is a highly interactive session built for leaders and managers at any level, as well as those preparing to step into leadership.
Building Stronger Teams

The best teams are built on positive motivation, not fear. Yet many of us have worked under a "my way or the highway" boss at some point, and we know how draining that environment is. Work feels different — better — when people show up because they want to, not because they're afraid of losing their job. This workshop helps leaders build teams people are excited to be part of, generating morale, cooperation, and a genuinely attractive workplace. We'll cover four key concepts and more: the real value of working in teams, the parts that make up a team, the role leaders play in building strong teams, and the role every team member plays in that process too..
Managing Different Personalities

This is one of our most requested workshops, and it's easy to see why. Most of us have taken a lighthearted online personality quiz at some point — fun, maybe a little revealing. But what happens when we take those insights several steps further and apply them seriously to how we lead and work? In this workshop, we'll examine our own personalities and preferences and how they shape our performance at work, then apply the same lens to our teams. You'll learn to recognize and celebrate personality differences, identify how those preferences shape work performance, and use practical tools to place people in roles that fit their strengths. We'll also look at how to build growth strategies around both our own and our employees' weak spots.
Performance Reviews & Performance Management

Performance review season has a way of sneaking up on all of us — and so does the pressure to set meaningful goals for the people we lead. This workshop helps you build both skills at once: setting goals that actually motivate your team, and measuring performance in a way that's fair and useful. We'll cover practical guides for developing realistic, motivating goals, resources for communicating expectations clearly, and strategies for leading as a coach rather than a police officer. You'll leave with tools to make performance appraisals accurately and fairly reflect real performance, and approaches for turning performance management into something dynamic and two-way rather than a once-a-year formality. This workshop benefits current leaders and those preparing to step into a leadership role.
Engaging, Motivating & Retaining Employees

A 2018 survey found that only 45% of U.S. workers are satisfied with their jobs — and for younger employees, that number drops to just 35%. With most employees staying at a job only three to four years, organizations are scrambling to find the "secret recipe" for keeping people happy and around longer. This workshop focuses on getting authentic feedback from employees, then translating that feedback into real job satisfaction — and no, we won't just tell you to buy a foosball table. Through interactive discussion with leaders from multiple organizations, we'll cover how to engage employees honestly, what actually drives (and doesn't drive) job satisfaction, how to build meaningful recognition programs, and how to foster a workplace of growth and loyalty.
Teamwork, Collaboration & Communication

We have the right product or services. Our company's foundation is strong. We have amazing employees who are committed and care. We have loyal customers. So why, with all those critical ingredients in place, do our businesses still struggle? Why is growth so painful and clumsy? Why do we keep battling the same problems we've faced for years? In this immersive workshop, we'll experience firsthand the perspectives and behaviors that make collaboration and system-wide thinking actually work, examining every level of the organization — ourselves, our teams, our departments, the whole company — for opportunities. We'll explore how to see our companies as one system instead of segregated departments, remove the silos that get in the way, and build practical strategies and plans for communicating expectations and driving cross-team collaboration.
Giving & Receiving Feedback

Feedback is an essential part of growth, but both giving and receiving criticism can be uncomfortable. Even when feedback is well-intended, it can sometimes create defensiveness or tension. This workshop provides practical tools to help participants approach feedback conversations with greater confidence, empathy, and effectiveness. Participants will explore how to choose the right time and approach for delivering feedback, balance performance standards with empathy, and follow up without micromanaging. The workshop also addresses how to receive criticism without becoming defensive and gives participants opportunities to apply these skills to realistic workplace situations
Recognizing & Rewarding Employees

Taking care of employees is a delicate balancing act. Top performers need attention because losing them would hurt — but lower-performing employees can consume just as much of our time and energy. And sometimes, even our most sincere efforts to reward people seem to fall flat. If you've got the soda machines, the foosball table, and the company outing covered and you're still losing good people, this workshop is for you. We'll dig into the real difference between transactional and relational interactions, and how appreciation, recognition, and rewards each play a distinct — and complementary — role. You'll come away understanding what actually drives employee engagement and motivation, plus a long list of ideas you can put into practice at work right away.
Working with Difficult People

What's the fastest way to turn a great job into a miserable one? Add one difficult person. Every workplace has at least one, and left unresolved, the frustration bleeds into our work. This isn't a workshop about changing other people or getting rid of the ones who challenge us — it's about learning to work productively within the diversity of personalities, preferences, and work styles we're handed. We'll explore tools for objectively evaluating difficult situations and people, strategies for examining our own reactions and hot buttons, and personal coping mechanisms that actually work. We'll also cover how to address issues with others kindly and professionally, while maintaining respect and rapport on both sides.
Building a Positive & Resilient Culture

We often think about happiness as something that happens after the right cause — once I get the promotion, then I'll be happy; once this project ends, my team will get along better. These statements are usually backwards, and usually false. What if positivity and resilience came first, and success followed? This workshop flips the formula: positive, resilient teams fuel success, and happiness drives accomplishment, not the other way around. We'll cover how to channel focus and energy into realistic, manageable goals, how to build a team's social structure, how to cultivate a genuine culture of happiness and support, and how to stay steady regardless of changes in leadership, structure, technology, or revenue targets.
Empathetic Leadership

When companies hire leaders, they focus heavily on resumes — bullet points, achievements, revenue generated, job titles, years of experience. But when we think about the best leaders we've personally worked for, we rarely think about any of that. We think about how much they cared, how they listened, and how they made us feel valued. This workshop teaches the components of character that define truly exceptional leaders — the ones resume bullet points can't capture. We'll dig into reading between the lines of stated and unstated needs, the art of active listening, and how to balance workplace demands with genuine sensitivity to employee needs. It's a dynamic, interactive look at why empathy consistently outperforms achievement on paper.
Establishing Accountability & Improving Behavior

Where do you want to go? Where do you want your team to go? Where do they actually want to go — and how are all of you going to get there? These are serious questions, and they sit at the heart of establishing real accountability. This workshop helps leaders see genuine results from a happy, engaged team, rather than settling for compliance. We'll explore the difference between healthy and unhealthy accountability, strategies for setting realistic goals for individuals and teams, and approaches for setting clear expectations through effective communication. You'll also get tools for measuring performance and conversation techniques for holding people accountable and addressing unmet goals — valuable for current leaders and those preparing to step into the role.
Empowering Employees

There can be a disconnect between an organization's vision and an employee's ability to turn that vision into action. Even when employees care deeply about their work, they may not always have the clarity, authority, skills, or confidence needed to execute effectively. This workshop explores how leaders can create the conditions employees need to take ownership and contribute meaningfully. Participants will learn how empowerment goes beyond simply assigning additional responsibilities. The course explores the balance of trust and time required to empower others, strategies for identifying employee strengths, and practical approaches for supporting employees while maintaining accountability.
Conflict Resolution

There may be exactly one way to avoid conflict entirely: live and work alone. For everyone else, conflict is a consistent, exhausting reality — often the fastest way to ruin a day or drive someone away from a job altogether. This isn't a workshop about changing or manipulating people, or getting rid of the ones who disagree with us. It's about understanding differing personalities, preferences, and work styles so we can manage the clashes productively. We'll dig into our gut-impulse responses to conflict, tools to help measure ourselves and others in conflict situations, and strategies for navigating heated conversations to diffuse tension. You'll also learn how to build consensus and use differing viewpoints to your business's advantage, rather than letting them turn into hurt feelings.
